Does Josh McDowell do any of the writing in the books attributed to him? Or staff compilations? Ghost writers?

A former editor told me that some of McDowell's books after the "EVIDENCE THAT DEMANDS A VERDICT" series contained more of his own material but another colleague in the industry told me that that was just spin after the Mel White ghost-writing scandal got covered by the media. Anybody know?
