What can I use to make pasta dish creamy?

I'm making a pasta dish tonight that call for 2 cups of sour cream. Sour cream is very fattening and I'd like to lighten this dish up a bit while still keeping it creamy. I'm going to use light sour cream and drastically reduce the amount called for but what can I substitute the rest for? (Something semi-health conscious please!)
